Here is one of the last Charity event updates I will be doing. The rest of the updates (if any) will be either edited or copied over with some edits and new things added. Before I start with the blog, I would like to say the dates and goal for this charity event. We will be playing Black Mesa and doing a live stream of it on November 17th and 19th from 10AM to 8PM Eastern Standard Time. We will be trying to raise $4,000 for the local food pantry; North Covenant Food Pantry. This live stream will be on my Twitch page. I finally finished up testing and had some great feedback and found some errors I had fixed. Now, I do have a slow internet upload speed which is causing problems with streaming which is actually making the live stream about 5-10 minutes behind and about a 50-60% frame drop. Its not much to really notice as it don't jump and skip video or sounds, but if you pay close attention you'll notice a few frame drops. It isn't much, but its the best I can do without the video stopping and then playing and skipping minutes ahead. As for the charity event, it will be helping North Covenant Food Pantry. Here is the full description that is on our GoFundMe page: "At TFCGaming, we decided to start doing some charity events for others. So far we are planning on helping local colleges expand, local food pantries, schools, and many more. This fundraising campaign will be focusing on our Local food pantry here in North Berwick; North Covenant Food Pantry. They need money to upgrade a few things, get food, and to better serve the community. The food pantry helps out needy people in the community and even up to a few communities away. They help people who don't make enough money to get food, ones who lost their job, even families who had lots of bills and couldn't get enough money to get food for the month. They help these families by welcoming them into the food pantry, and letting them choose meats, veggies, and take other stuff then need like tooth paste, shampoo, even some books. They don't always get the same things donated to them, but they have new things almost each time. They also have drinks, snacks, and even pasties available to families in need. The money will be raised by playing video games and doing a live stream on Twitch. We will be doing this via steam games, and even some console gameplay. The money will go to the local food pantry, and a video will be placed on YouTube as it is handed to them. I will show their reaction and let them say thank you, and even show a thank you note to everyone who participated. This money will help upgrade old and nearly broken fridges (even broken equipment), get more food, and to help the community even more than before. We will only need to be funded and help once we get the live stream up and running. But, if you want you can help out before hand. We will try to post each donation on our live stream as fast as we can, as we have a progressbar at the bottom of the video showing how much and how far the donations have left. The Food Pantry will be super happy. We will also be happy knowing that we are helping others, and giving back to the community in every way we can." I have two donating platforms that will be both used in this event, one being StreamLabs, and the other being GoFundMe. Now if you donate on GoFundMe, it wont appear on the live stream, but if I manually add it into the stream, it should show up in the live stream and change the fund bar and even show a message if you would like to add one. Only problem is, it will be slow to be added. Now if you donate via StreamLabs, it will appear on my stream with your username, amount, and even the message without any hassle and adding it myself, it should appear right away. I would personally choose GoFundMe instead of StreamLabs because of the user protection, but it is up to you. I will be doing many other streams before the officially announced date; November 17th and 19th, so feel free to pop onto my Twitch page and watch the stream if I'm live. You can even donate before the date as well, it will help out. As for the dates for the live streaming of Black Mesa, I will be doing two or more dates. The two major dates are November 17th and 19th from 10AM to 8PM Eastern Standard Time. So please set your calendars and post this to help us out on the charity event. the more viewers the better. Remember! this charity event is for my local food pantry: North Covenant Food Pantry, and I am trying to raise up $4,000 to help them out on buying meats and veggies for people in the community that needs help, and to help them fix and replace old/broken equipment. Beforehand, I thank everyone for participating in the event. Upon this campaign ending, I will gather all of your names and put them on a letter with the money, and record it being handed to the food pantry. I will and post it on YouTube. If you also feel up to it, you can also donate to our website, and/or donate to our Mod Tutorials via Patreon. This helps us mod, do mod tutorials, and even do a few drawings. It will also help with more charity events. Thanks for reading this blog post and charity event description. ~ Wolf
